The September 2010 edition of the American Journal of Psychiatry podcast (freely available here) follows a standardised format for the podcasts in this series and is narrated clearly. There is an overview of Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Following on from this, there is a discussion of a number of research papers. One study investigates an association between maternal and adolescent depression. There is another study which finds an association between neurocognitive traits and a region on Chromosome 5 although there is a prolonged discussion of how this matter may not be as straightforward as it seems at first glance. Another study investigates alcohol misuse in native americans and discusses the adaptations of services to previous findings. Along with other material there is plenty of interest in this podcast.
