The Michigan Health Information Exchange

The 2015 video above discusses the Health Information Exchange (HIE) in Michigan, USA from the perspectives of patients, clinicians and other care providers. From a patient perspective, the HIE is described as empowering. We also hear towards the end of the video that HIE’s have reduced duplicate data entry.

The HIE’s can communicate with MiHIN which is the centre of the Michigan health information network The video also references portals that enable patients to access their health information.
